I am a photographer and writer. I look at social issues, gray areas, identity and conflict. I bend rules as much as I can. I take no for an answer, but then again sometimes yes is not a good answer either. I was born and grew up in a small town at the end of the geography – Osh, Kyrgyzstan. I caught a travel bug when I was still a young child, my poor mother lived in fear of me getting lost in the crooked tiny streets of my hometown. Little did she know that as an adult I will spend most of my time on the road, speaking to people, peering into strange corners of this world. Just as when I was a young child my itinerary is guided by nothing other than curiosity – what is hidden out there behind the next corner. In my travels I am looking not for answers but for questions – questions about life, the universe and everything. I look for beauty in places that the front pages usually equate with conflict and chaos. This project is an attempt to share my pondering and quest for beauty with others.
